"sea of tulips" 5 x 7" original painting

This is one of those pieces that just happened.
 
I was using some paint tubes for another project and realized the caps were too far gone and broken for me to recap them and save the paint for another time.
I knew that the paint would dry up and would need to be tossed or I could use the paint now and avoid wasting it.
Moving around the palette and creating mixes of color made for a playful and energetic flow within the painting.
 
I feel that smaller pieces like this one can bring a lot of joy, brightness or a spark into a space.
 
Recently a friend shared with me that she has one of my small paintings by her work station and she'll sometimes pick it up, look at the details and the scene and that it calms her. This made me so happy to hear and I wish that this painting will bring light to your space!
